Please pray that God will move on your congregation today, searching and trying every heart, revealing any anxious thoughts or hurtful ways (Psalm 139:23-24). Pray that repentance will take place and that genuine revival will be experienced by the people of your church family.
Pray especially that the youth of your church will under- stand that “he who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, but he who is careless of conduct will die” (Proverbs 19:16).
Pray that your church leaders and every member of your congregation will “examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; abstain from every form of evil” (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22).
Pray that your congregation and its leaders will recog- nize and then “reject a factious man after a first and second warning, knowing that such a man is perverted and is sinning, being self-condemned” (Titus 3:10-11).
Pray that your church family will engage in good deeds while shunning “foolish controversies and genealogies and strife and disputes about the Law,” especially since these divisive activities are “unprofit- able and worthless” (Titus 3:8-9).
Pray for your Christian friends “to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed, to malign no one, to be peaceable, gentle, show- ing every consideration for all men” (Titus 3:1-2).
Being careful to lay no foundation “other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ,” pray that each person within your church family will be careful how he builds on it (1 Corinthians 3:10-11).
Please pray that Christians around our nation will be careful to listen to all the words God has commanded us (Deuteronomy 12:28). When the Hebrews obeyed His commands, He promised that it would be well with them and with their children.
Since the dark, sinful allurements of this world are becoming more intense, pray that Christians will not waste their time on these sinful pursuits but will instead give every minute to an obedient love relationship with Jesus.
Pray that Christians will be careful in how they live out their Christianity. Pray that they will long for and seek the wisdom that comes from above—the wisdom that can shape and guide a person to live like Jesus.
The lost in our country and many backslidden Christians seem to be asleep when it comes to living according to the will and ways of God. Pray that a powerful revival and spiritual awakening will come to our land, shaking worldliness out of believers and drawing the lost to Jesus.
Over the past few decades, the moral truths found in the Bible seemingly have lost their place as the standard for morality in America. Pray that church leaders and believers from all over our country will become even bolder in using the Bible to expose that which God sees as sin.
Please pray that your church family will “walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma” (Ephesians 5:2). Thank You for taking this 31 Day Prayer Challenge!!! Exposing Darkness and Walking Carefully in the Light
Pray that your church family will be protected from those who “cause dissensions and hindrances” by departing from the sound teaching of the Word of God. Pray that their wrong reasoning will be exposed in order to protect “the hearts of the unsuspecting” (Romans 16:17-18).
Please pray that we as Christians will amend our ways and our deeds by no longer oppressing “the alien, the orphan, or the widow”; by no longer shedding “innocent blood”; and by no longer walking “after other gods” (Jeremiah 7:5-6).
